Laurie Arndorfer, MD

Dr. Laurie Arndorfer is a Phi Beta Kappa honor graduate of the University of Kansas, where she obtained her BA degree in psychology.  She then obtained a Master Degree (MSW) in Social Work at the University of Iowa, and worked as a licensed clinical social worker for several years.  Following that, she went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and completed specialty training in psychiatry through the University of Nebraska and Creighton University.  She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is licensed to practice in Washington.  She has over 10 years of experience providing psychiatric care, working in hospitals, university health clinics, and other outpatient settings.   She has also served in an academic role as Assistant Professor at the University of Kentucky.  Her passion is working with women to promote emotional wellness, and she has specialized training and experience in this area, including the treatment of premenstrual, pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause related mood and anxiety disorders.  She is a member of Postpartum Support International, Perinatal Support Washington, the Psychiatry subsection of the Christian Medical and Dental Association and the American Psychiatric Association.
